Track 1 Agencies Only!
The STAARS Project is providing three important services
agencies can use to facilitate testing.
The first would be to utilize one of the on-site testing facilities, the
second is to contact the STAARS Support Team if you have questions and the
third is for the Agency Test Leads to document problems using the SharePoint
Issue Tracking tool.
On Site Testing:
The STAARS Project Team has set up test labs that can be
used for those agencies that would like to test away from the office. Not only
will this give testers dedicated time to test without interruption from their
daily workload, a STAARS Project Team subject matter expert can be provided to
facilitate agency testing. The UAT
Calendar is posted with classroom locations and availability. To reserve a testing facility, please contact
the UAT team at staars@finance.alabama.gov
. When requesting a testing room,
specify the facility, number of testers, testing topic(s) and the timeframe
required. Testing facilities are
reserved in 5 workstations / 4 hour increments (morning and afternoon
sessions).
STAARS UAT Support
Team
We’ve set up a support team to help you with problems you
may come across during testing. The
STAARS UAT Support Center can be reached at (334) 353-9000. You may also submit

Issue Reporting:
We realize that issues or problems can be revealed during
testing. To make sure these issues are
managed and resolved, the STAARS Project team has created a way for agencies to
report issues. We request when issues
are found that only the agency test lead and/or alternates submit the issue using
the SharePoint
Issue Tracking tool. This will ensure
that problems submitted from the agencies are reviewed and compiled by the
agency test lead. Likewise, prior to an
issue being submitted, it’s strongly suggested that an internal agency analysis
is done to confirm the problem identified is valid. This is defined as a repeatable
problem and not a duplicate of an already submitted issue.
We hope these support options allow you to get through the STAARS UAT phase with minimum problems. Our goal is to make sure when you do need assistance that we provide a quick and efficient way to address your issue. Please take advantage of these UAT support options!
