Track 1 Agencies
Only!Agencies should ensure the following is accomplished prior
to UAT.
UAT Preparation Activities:
To be able to start testing, the following actions should be
finalized.
- All
testers have completed the Intro to STAARS online course.
- The UAT
Role Assignment Spreadsheet with the list of testers for your agency has been
provided to the STAARS team. These worksheets are used to load the test
profiles into STAARS.
- Testers
received an email from STAARS providing their STAARS User ID. If your testers
did not receive this email by Tuesday, check your “Junk E-mail” folder.
UAT Login and Administration:
A link to STAARS for UAT will be posted on the SharePoint
UAT dashboard.
Testers should cut and paste the link into their browser
address bar. When the web page opens,
testers should enter the STAARS User ID that was provided by email from
STAARS. As a reminder, if you did not
receive your email, please check your “Junk Email” before contacting the STAARS
Help Desk. You will receive a temporary
STAARS password, with instructions on how to change it. After the first few days of testing, STAARS
will turn on its capability to authenticate your login credentials using your
state network password or email password, depending on your agency rules. We
will let you know when this capability is turned on.
Problems Getting Started:
If you are having problems getting to the STAARS page, check
with your agency IT representative to make sure your PC and connection are
setup correctly, before contacting the STAARS UAT Support center. After you get to the STAARS page, if you are
unable to login, be sure you typed in your STAARS User ID that STAARS emailed
to you. Generally these User IDs are
FirstName.LastName, though they will be shortened to 16 characters in length,
and may include a number at the end to distinguish between persons with the
same first and last name. There are no
“/” or “@” symbols, or domain name strings required in the User ID. If this does not work, check with your agency
IT representative.
