UPDATE ON THE SEARCH FOR MISSING EUFAULA WOMAN
Over the past several months,
agents from the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, Alabama Bureau of
Investigation, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, and the Federal Bureau of
Investigation have been conducting an investigation into the disappearance of 36-year
old Lisa Wallace, who had been living in Eufaula. Wallace’s mother, Barbara Davis of Baldwin
County, reported her daughter as missing to the Eufaula Police Department on
November 3, 2012.
Within the past two weeks, agents
have executed multiple search warrants and conducted numerous witness
interviews relating to this investigation. On Monday April 21, 2014, investigating
agents and officers from the Houston County Sheriff’s Office and the Mobile
Police Department Dive Teams, and Cadaver Dogs from South West Panhandle Search
and Rescue searched areas near Eufaula. Although Wallace was not found,
investigators will continue to pursue leads.
Also assisting in this
investigation is the Barbour County District Attorney’s Office, Alabama Fusion
Center, Alabama Department of Homeland Security, Alabama Attorney General
Office, Eufaula Police Department, and the Barbour County Sheriff’s Office.
