MONTGOMERY, Alabama -- The Montgomery State Farmers Market will host its first "Farmers Market Day Christmas" celebration this Saturday, December 17, 2011, from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The Farmer's Market is ready for Christmas, are you?

The Farmers Market has many last minute holiday gifts choices including poinsettias, baked goods, pecans, Bates turkeys, fresh wreaths and garland to decorate your home, and all types of fresh produce including satsumas. During the "Farmers Market Day Christmas" celebration, area arts and crafts vendors will offer many unique, one-of-a-kind gifts as well.

Children are encouraged to come visit Santa Clause on his John Deere tractor compliments of Montgomery's SunSouth dealer. Santa will be ready to hear those Christmas wishes! Parents, please bring your camera to capture this special moment. New unwrapped toys can be dropped off during the festivities to benefit the Salvation Army.
