Tuscaloosa - Brose Tuscaloosa will expand the production capabilities to accommodate future production of seat structures and door systems for the Next Generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Production start is still several years away but preparations are already being made now to invest in state-of-the-art assembly technology. The expansion will not only bring close to 80 new jobs to the area, but more importantly, stability and future growth opportunities through a diversified product range.
Brose’s facility in Vance, AL is a Just-in-Sequence supplier of door systems to Mercedes Benz U.S. International (MBUSI), produces engine cooling fans for GM and BMW as well as seat adjusters for the new Volkswagen facility in Chattanooga, TN. MBUSI is scheduled to launch the successor to the current Mercedes-Benz C-Class in 2014.
