MONTGOMERY – Secretary of State Beth Chapman has a busier schedule than usual this week which begins tomorrow morning welcoming U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to Alabama.
Rice is being presented an Honorary Degree by the Air College at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery. Chapman has graduated from the National Security Forum there as well. Alabama’s Secretary of State welcoming our country’s Secretary of State is only fitting on such an occasion.
Immediately following the ceremony, Chapman will fly to Washington, DC for the House Administration Hearings on Tuesday. Chapman recently attended the Overseas Vote Foundation’s International Summit and has been called to testify before Congress regarding her expertise on the issue of military voting.
“It is always an honor to represent Alabama and the men and women who serve in the United States Military,” Chapman said. “I am humbled and proud to do so.”
