The Administration for Families and Children in Washington, D.C. has notified Dr. Page Walley that Alabama’s Location, Enforcement, and Collection System (ALECS) is now fully certified.
ALECS is an automated child support enforcement system with eight general areas of functional criteria that it must support. They are case initiation, locate, establishment, case management, enforcement, financial management, reporting, and security/privacy. Certification of the ALECS system was a requirement of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996.
Congratulations to the ALECS project team for their outstanding efforts in achieving this important certification.
