Employees of the Department of Human Resources continue to assess statewide damage/needs of all local DHR facilities and shelters. At this time, the only county office that remains without power is Escambia County.
Several other counties continue to experience minor communication difficulties with voice mail and fax systems.
"I am extremely pleased with the efforts that have been made, and continue to be made by our staff." Stated Dr. Page Walley. "State office and county workers have been working hand-in-hand resolving problems and fulfilling the needs of our clients around the clock. They have all responded in an extremely professional and compassionate manner throughout this crisis."
Dr. Walley visited Baldwin and Mobile County office and was pleased to find that it was already "up and running." In his travels, he also observed that the damage in Conecuh and Escambia appeared to be extensive.
