Commissioner Page Walley was recently elected to be the Vice Chairman of the Policy Council for the American Public Human Services Association (APHSA). Founded in 1930, APHSA is a nonprofit, bipartisan organization of state and local human service agencies and individuals who work in or are interested in public human service programs.
“I’m very pleased that my peer’s from across the country have chosen me to represent them on this council,” stated Commissioner Walley. “I look forward to working with the members of the Policy Council to help better serve the American public through human services.”
The Policy Council for APHSA discusses policy recommendations in the areas of Medicaid, State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), child welfare, food stamps and Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF).
