MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Secretary of State Beth Chapman says that turnout is much higher than normal at this time of day for the November 2nd General Election.
"We still have a few more hours to go and we’ve already seen large numbers and lines in polling places all around the state," Chapman said. "Hopefully more folks will stop by on their way home from work to make sure their voice is heard and their vote is cast."
Chapman stated that she hopes today’s total voter turnout is much higher than usual. "It encourages me and makes me proud that the voters in the state of Alabama are turning out for this important election and participating in one of our most sacred rights and freedoms as Americans" she said.
