Super Tuesday in Alabama was just that – super. With 40% of registered voters casting their votes in the Presidential Primary, there was historic voter turnout. The last Presidential Primary attracted only 17% of Alabamians and the largest percentage voting in a Presidential Primary prior to this one was 29%.
“It is a huge increase in the number of our citizens who have chosen to participate in the democratic process. Hopefully we will break additional records by having an even larger number of Alabamians vote in the November General Election,” said Secretary Chapman.
Alabamians had their turn in the national spotlight on Super Tuesday and their voices and votes counted more than ever on February 5th due to the early Primary.
