Secretary of State Beth Chapman encourages every registered citizen to vote in Tuesday’s June 5, 2007 Statewide Special Constitutional Amendment Election. There are also two local amendments to be voted on in Mobile County, and in Shelby County.
"Historically voter turn out is low for referendum elections. These two statewide amendments will affect all citizens in the State," stated Secretary Chapman. "Everyone should exercise their right to vote, and it is my hope that they will."
You may view the certified ballot language of all amendments at the Secretary of State website http://www.sos.alabama.gov/ under the ‘Elections’ heading.
