Meetings to Discuss ACHN Plans with Delivering Healthcare Professionals
Delivering Healthcare Professionals (DHCPs) are invited to attend one of four upcoming meetings to learn more
about Medicaid’s proposed Alabama Coordinated Health Networks (ACHNs).
ACHNs are designed to create a single care coordination delivery system that effectively links patients, providers
and community resources within each of seven regions. In coordination with ACHN, there will be a new way of
paying DHCPs, which will be discussed at these meetings. If the federal government approves the waiver creating
the ACHN, the networks expect to be implemented on October 1, 2019.
Meetings will be at the following locations: Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile, and Huntsville. All meetings will
be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Agency will not be able to provide refreshments; however, attendees are
encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch to eat during the presentation.
