Effective 01/01/2018 the US
Federal Tax ID (FEIN) used by DXC Technology, the fiscal agent and claims
processor for the Alabama Medicaid program, will be changing to 822287119. This
Tax ID is currently sent on financial transactions and EDI files, so please
check with any vendors or clearinghouses to determine if you will be impacted
by this change. The updated files/transactions will include the following:
-X12 HIPAA transactions: Sender ID in ISA06/GS02 for all transactions listed
here, 271 Eligibility Response – Loop 2100A NM109, 277 Claim Status Response –
Loop 2100A NM109, 277U Claim Status Unsolicited – Loop 2100A NM109, 278 Health
Care Services Response (PA) – Loop 2010A NM109, 835 Electronic Remittance
Advice – BPR10.
-Financial transactions: EFT, 1099 (starting
Jan 2019)
Changes for 835 and 277U
will be implemented for the 01/05/2018 checkwrite. Changes for 278 and 834 will
be implemented in February, and changes for 271, 277, and ACA Safe Harbor
transactions will be implemented on 03/01/2018.
For Web Portal uploaded
batch submissions (270, 276, 837, 278), Vendors and Providers may submit
either the former or new Tax ID until further notice.
ACA Safe Harbor
transactions (Real Time and Batch) must use the original Tax ID until
03/01/2018. After 03/01/2018, submitters in the ACA environment must use the
new ID.
