Three Arrested in Perry County Arsons

A joint investigation by the Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Alabama Forestry Commission has resulted in the arrests of three Perry County residents in connection with a series of arsons in and around Perry County between October 10 and November 15, 2008.

William Adam Huey a 20 year old Volunteer Firefighter from Sprott was charged with four counts of Willful, malicious or intentional setting on fire of woodlands, a class C felony and one count of Arson Second Degree for a structure fire, a class B felony.

Also arrested were 20 year old Jessica Veach and 23 year old Thomas Whalen also of the Sprott area in rural Perry County. Veach and Whalen each have been charged with one count of Arson Second Degree for structure fire.

All three suspects are being held in the Perry County Jail.
