6/22/2026 - Effective July 1, 2026, the Alabama Medicaid Agency (Medicaid) will:
1. Remove the Dispense as Written (DAW) Code of 9 from Elidel.
2. Discontinue posting the following documents to the Medicaid website:
a. Alabama Medicaid Agency Alphabetical Preferred Drug List
b. Alabama Medicaid Agency Preferred Drug List By Therapeutic Category
3. Continue to update the Alabama Medicaid PDL Reference Tool, which now includes Therapeutic Category, on a quarterly basis (January, April, July and October) of each year.
4. Update Prior Authorization (PA) Form 373 and its instruction document on the Medicaid website.
5. Update the PDL to reflect the quarterly updates listed.

Medicaid:
6/18/2026 - The Alabama Medicaid Agency (Medicaid) is issuing this ALERT as a follow-up to the June 15, 2026, ALERT titled “Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapy Diagnostic Requirements.”
Medicaid is pausing implementation related to the July 1, 2026, deadline discussed in the ALERT.
